How is my bill calculated?
There are basically 2 separate items in the bill calculation and they constitute the total amount of the bill.
- Energy Consumption Fee
- VAT.
Energy Consumption Fee is the amount obtained by multiplying the bill-based consumption by the unit prices determined by EMRA and renewed every quarter of the year.
Fees other than Energy Consumption Charge;
- VAT: Pursuant to the Value Added Tax Law No. 3065 are collected and transferred to the relevant institutions/organizations.
How is my tariff charged?
The tariffs to be charged to the users by the companies holding retail sales licenses operating in the Electricity Market are determined by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) in accordance with the Electricity Market Law No. 6446 and the implementation of these tariffs is a legal obligation for the license holder companies. The tariffs of the Electricity Market are renewed every quarter of the year and enter into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
Although I consume electricity, my bill does not appear, what could be the reason?
There may be several reasons why your bill does not appear:
- Your consumption is low,
- Technical failures during reading or inaccessibility of the meter,
- Faulty subscription,
- Your meter is defective
In this case, you can initiate an investigation by contacting our Call Center or your nearest Customer Service Center (MÜHİM).
I have not received/lost my bill, what can I do?
You can learn all your bill debt information (not in execution proceedings) from our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) or our contracted institutions by specifying your subscriber number, you can request your copy bill needs through our website and you can also receive it from our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).
I think my bill is incorrect, where can I apply?
The amount of your electricity bill may vary depending on seasonal usage and the number of days between readings. For example, devices such as refrigerators, air conditioners and water heaters may have the same degree of use, but their consumption may increase or decrease due to seasonal differences.
In addition, the increase or decrease between the reading dates of your meter will cause differences in your bill for the period.
If you think that your bill is incorrect after evaluating these factors, you can create a record by applying to our website, mobile app, Call Center or Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) by specifying your account number and, if possible, the indices on the meter for faster processing.
Where can I learn/pay my debts under execution?
You can pay/learn your debts under execution from our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).
My electricity has not been activated despite paying my electricity debt, what can I do?
Electricity switch-on operations are carried out within 24 hours in zoning areas and 48 hours outside the zoning area. If your electricity is not switched on within the aforementioned periods, you can create a record by applying to our Call Center, Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) or the complaint/appeal section of our website in our contact form.
Why are there different charges on my electricity bill besides the energy cost?
Electricity bills show the costs of four main activities that occur from generation to consumption of electricity. The consumption amount (active/net energy) shown in the bill is largely a cost related to the production in the power plant. In other words, the energy cost reflects the costs incurred during the production of electricity in any power plant.
The distribution company transports the electricity that reaches the city grid through distribution lines and delivers it to the consumers' doorsteps. The distribution fee in the invoices is charged by the distribution company for the investments and operating expenses related to the distribution network.
